To kick start our new topic Shipwrecked the children had to unscramble pirate codes or walk the plank!  They were then handed their grub for the morning – exotic fruits from tropical islands.  We tested their sea worthiness and their ability to navigate a ship and follow command from their captain.  They had to climb the rigging and secure all knots to avoid being thrown in the brig.

These young ship mates were then set the challenge of creating a sea worthy vessel from carefully selected junk from land loving parents!

Year 5 are now all initiated into the crews of Washington and Beijing.
