There was great excitement in Year 2 yesterday when we discovered a torn up, historic diary entry. The children were full of enthusiasm, using clues from the writing to suggest where this mysterious diary entry came from and soon restored it to its original state.
Coincidentally, Mrs Hurley’s neighbour, who had recently moved here from London had given her an old box which she found in her London attic. It was full of interesting and ‘stinky’ artefacts which all led us to believe they originated from The Great Fire of London.
The children were ‘burning’ to explore this event as our project for this half term and we will keep you posted as our project heats up!
