Last Friday you may have spotted lots of Princes and Princesses in Year One who enjoyed a fun packed day to celebrate the Royal Wedding. We started the day by throwing a ball! The children all chose a partner and performed a dance to the well-known song ‘Perfect’ by Ed Sheeran.   We designed a wedding dress for Meghan, decorated a royal wedding balloon and made flags. During our library slot we had a guest appearance from Meghan and Harry (thank you Henry and Ella from Year 4) who read the children a story.  We had some meaningful discussions about British Values and Democracy and tested our general knowledge by completing a quiz about the Royal Wedding. We were impressed with how much the children knew about Prince Harry and Meghan! In the afternoon, we were able to make the most of the weather and enjoy a cream tea out on the playground.  A right royal day to remember!
