If you have any questions or comments about the accessibility of this web site, please email info@primarysite.net.
We have tried to design this site to be as accessible as possible while still visually interesting. To do this we have included a variety of features which are summarised below. Click on the links to see information on the particular accessibility issues.
Two additional style sheets have been included with this web site to assist visually impaired users. The first style has been designed for those who suffer from visual stress and/or Dyslexia. This style uses colours that have been shown to help some people with Dyslexia and sufferes of visual stress. However, these colours may not aid all visitors with these conditions and different colours may be more appropriate for some people. For more information on dyslexia please visit The British Dyslexia Association
The second style sheet has been designed for those who suffer from Colour blindness, and uses appropriate colours and contrast to help visitors with this condition.
Both views allow visitors to comfortably increase the text to a size more suitable for them. A cookie is used to remember which style sheet you have chosen.
A series of keyboard shortcuts have been provided to assist users who have difficulty in using pointing devices such as a mouse. Depending on your browser type the pages can be accessed in the following ways:
You can also cycle through all the links by using the TAB key. To open a link which you have tabbed to, please press ENTER.
(Please note Access Keys may not work on all browsers)
To ensure quick download times we have (where possible) avoided the excessive use of graphics. We have also ensured that any information provided in image format is also available (where possible) as text.
Where images have been used we have added 'Alt' tags - text alternatives so that you can still see what the image is meant to convey even if it doesn't load or if you have chosen to browse with the images switched off (or you are using something like a screen reader to read the web page rather than view it).
We have been careful to make sure that we haven't fixed the size of the textual information on the web site so that visitors who wish to, can alter the font size on the screen to make it easier to read. There are a number of ways to change the text size in your browser, the easiest way is to follow the following steps: (In Internet Explorer)
It is also possible to increase the size of the text by holding down the ctrl key on the bottom left hand row of the key board whilst using the scroll wheel on the mouse to increase (or decrease) the size of the text.
This site has been tested with the following browsers for compatibility.
