Please enjoy some photos to show where Poppy’s £1000+ money raised and the £500 we raised at Christmas has been spent in Malawi.

The money was used to buy the necessary equipment and food to set up a feeding programme to provide a meal of maize porridge for each child in Munkhokwe school. Currently many children are unable to have even a meal a day because of the food crisis which has had the consequence that many children are too exhausted to attend school.

We also used the funds to buy pens, pencils, chalk and exercise books to help the children with their learning. It’s a great opportunity to see why we are spending today learning about Malawi and our partner school out there – we look forward to seeing as many of you as possible in school on the evening of the 8th July for our Malawi fundraising evening – more about that on this week’s newsletter.
