Terrific Tumbling

We took a team of children from Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 to the Dorset School’s Tumbling Competition on the 20th November and what a day of spills and thrills it was!  When the dust had settled, The Year 3 and 4 mixed team won a silver medal, the girls’ team a bronze and the boys’ team got gold!!  In the Year 5 and 6 age groups, the Year 5 boys came 3rd and we were gutted that the girls team missed out on a place in the finals by one place.  Overall, however the mixed team came out on top with the Gold medal!  A fantastic day of sport in the right spirit – many of these competitors were not regular attendees at our Gymnastics club and in one case had only been drafted in as an emergency replacement the day before.  Well done tumbling team, and thank you to Mrs Finnigan for all her preparations and to all the staff who supported the children on their Sunday off.  Please enjoy the slideshow below!
