Year 5 had lots of fun during Science week, carrying out an eggy experiment, experiencing Science within a secondary school science lab and looking at air resistance by making helicopters.
We were also lucky enough to have two very exciting visitors who came and spoke to us about their science based job. One was Mrs Voller who is a psychologist and the other was Simon who is a pig farmer. We learnt lots of new facts and year 5 were excellent at asking thoughtful questions.
Our ‘Eggsperiment’ was an interesting one – we put 5 eggs into different liquids (drinks) for the week and watched the effects on a daily basis. The drinks were orange juice, water, milk, diet coke and coke. The effects were interesting and rather smelly too!
