Last week twenty Year 3 and 4 children were fortunate enough to attend a tri-golf competition, competing against other schools. The children took part in a variety of golfing activities which tested the following skills; coordination, putting, driving and ability to persevere.
Not only does the nature of this competition recognise the children’s golfing abilities, it also allowed the children to gain points based on the spirit of the game and sportsmanship. We are very proud to say that the children were most successful in the points allocated to the spirit of the game and were very close to being put through to the County finals. Unfortunately, we did not make it through to the next stage, but we had an incredible morning out playing sport and was a valuable experience for all.
