Year 6 had a brilliant time when professional artist and fossil enthusiast, John House, came in to show them how to use natural resources to create brilliant 3D fossil art pieces. They used a combination of twigs, dried sweetcorn, sycamore seeds and sand to give the impression of a fossilised dragonfly. The results were surprisingly realistic! The children also learnt about the different types of rock, and how fossils are created over time. The children thoroughly enjoyed the session and the artwork looks amazing!
