On Thursday 25th May, Year 3 had an enlightening experience through prayer, to celebrate National Prayer Week. St James’ Church organised four stations for the children to visit in small groups, each focusing on a different area of prayer. We had a ‘Wailing Wall’, a ‘sorry box’ and an opportunity to ‘make the world a better place’ by being King or Queen for the day. They also experienced how saying prayers can help you feel relieved from burdens, using a heavy back pack filled with pebbles, giving messages on them. We had a brilliant time, thank you to all who went to such efforts to organise this event. It was a truly uplifting part of the day for us all.
