In maths last week Year 2 investigated the following scientific hypothesis; Is your forearm the same length as your foot?
We worked together in groups to measure each others forearms and feet (not the stinky ones though!). We recorded the lengths in the unit of centimetres (cm) to examine whether the statement was true or false. We used our measuring skills, such as starting at 0 cm and reading the tape measure accurately to find the outcome to the hypothesis.
We’re still undecided on the outcome of the statement, as Mrs Shaw’s were the same length but some of the children’s didn’t match. We think it’s because we’re still growing!
