Years 2 and 5 had a fantastic visit to the Safe Wise Centre last week. We encountered different real life scenarios, such as being aware of fire hazards in the home and escaping a burning house before dialing 999. We practiced crossing a road safely using the traffic lights, as well learning about stranger danger awareness, safety in the park and at the beach.
Well done to one of the groups in Stingray class who had outstanding feedback from their group leader – He said ‘they were the best group he had led in 15 years!’
We hope the children can utilise some of these valuable lessons in their everyday lives.
