The girls’ football team have been back in action again. This time we were playing in our local league. Each school in Bournemouth is required to play 3 matches against teams that they are drawn against; we needed to play Stourfield, Pokesdown and St Katharines. In the Bournemouth schools league there are 14 teams in total. On Tuesday 16th January we played Pokesdown at the Littledown Centre. Unfortunately we were missing one of our girls as she had injured herself in PE during the afternoon and was collected early from school. The girls however, were in high spirits despite this and the bitterly cold temperature that we were facing on the very exposed Littledown pitches. The girls continued to demonstrate the skills they have acquired across the season and were attacking from the starting whistle. They worked so incredibly well as a team and demonstrated commitment and resilience. They were always chasing the ball and thoroughly deserved their 2-0 win! Well done girls, we couldn’t be prouder.
