Recently, some Year 5 and 6 girls were given the opportunity to take part in a friendly netball tournament against two other schools. Before the matches began, the girls received some excellent coaching by a member of the England Netball Association. In the wind, rain and shine, the girls took part in a bean game, ladder race and noughts and crosses match to encourage and develop certain netball skills before competing.
When we took to the courts to play the matches, I was amazed by the girls’ improvement in skills. They have worked so hard at netball club to improve their understanding of the game and it has clearly paid off. What an exciting and valuable opportunity they had to apply their skills in a friendly, yet competitive situation. Well done, girls!
