It’s not often that a school trip includes a concert by a world famous orchestra but Year 5 and 6 had a great time attending a such a poerformance by the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. We heard music by Leonard Bernstein and got to sing along to Beethoven’s Ode to Joy. We even got to play our own body percussion along with the orchestra and to sing and sign a specially commissioned song to celebrate 125 years of the BSO.
It was a wonderful experience and we learnt so much about the orchestra – nothing beats hearing them live to experience music at its best. And to top it all off, lunch in the park and a trip on the train. What a fantastic day!
