Year 5 were given a very exciting opportunity to take part in the John Lewis 2018 Innovation Project.  This project is is an opportunity for the children to think of innovative solutions using their skills of teamwork, creativity and imagination.

They were given the challenge to work in teams to reinvent a school blazer, giving it a new lease of life.  The year group were amazing at working collaboratively and we were amazed at some of the innovative ideas that came from within the groups.

With only a week to complete the challenge, the teachers were nervous of the outcome, but year 5 were incredible and proved to us that working under pressure is a real strength of theirs.

Each group had to not only make their creation, but also complete a PowerPoint illustrating their journey from blazer to new product.  All these entries have now been submitted to John Lewis and is now a case of waiting to see how we did.

Good Luck to all of the year 5’s and well done for your hard work and innovative ideas – you have definitely shown us that you could be the inventors of the future!
