Well what a fun filled week we have had in Reception! We have started our brand new topic on superheroes. We have been making shields, capes, utility belts, masks to name a few. The children have been so creative and enthusiastic.

We also had a chat about who we thought were superheroes in school. The children decided that Mr Payne was a superhero for letting us keep the chickens, and Mr Broyd for fixing lots of things around the classroom and school. Some children thought that Mr Broyd deserved a cape and a mask and made him his very own costume!

We will soon be looking at real life superheroes (doctors, police, nurses, fire service etc) and would love to hear from anyone in our community who does these amazing jobs and would be willing to come and chat to the children for 20 minutes or so.
