Last week we kicked off our new Friday afternoon adventures with the first of our Inter-House challenge activities. Across two year groups (Y1 and 2, Y3 and 4, Y5 and 6) all of the children come together in their houses and compete to take on a challenge that is either academic, creative, sporting or problem solving. Each house team will rotate around the challenges so that after four weeks everyone will have tried everything. This gives us the best chance to utilise the range of skills within that collection of individuals and underlines the importance of teamwork and supporting each other towards a collective goal. Points are awarded for relative success in each challenge and at the end of half term we will have a prize giving in the hall, where individual phases will find out their respective positions before the overall house trophy is presented. It’s super, smashing, great and really exciting to feel the buzz around the whole school!
