As part of our ‘ When I needed a neighbour project’ , Year 6 have been finding out what help is available for the homeless in the local area. Using google maps together with our maths skills and knowledge of co-ordinates, we listed the locations of a range of centres and facilities for the homeless in Bournemouth. Despite the children’s insistence that ‘ asking google’ was the way to go, they did a really good job of finding the co- ordinates so that the homeless could use a good old fashioned map for help if the internet wasn’t an option !
