Harry and Meghan eat your heart out! Celebrations were in full swing in the week before half term in Year 2 for the wedding of the year. As a culmination of all the fantastic learning for their project ‘The Wedding Planners’, Year 2 organised their own wedding in the hall for Year 1 to watch and enjoy.
Year 1 loved receiving their invitations for the special day which Year 2 had worked hard to design. Their colourful bunting and handmade flowers decorated the hall beautifully ready for the occasion and everyone knew exactly what to do as they played their special role. Home learning was displayed proudly at the front, including a colourful array of wedding cakes which looked good enough to eat. (Some, in fact, were eaten!)
Miss Rogers was particularly relieved that Year 2 helped her plan her wedding this half term. It stopped her from becoming a bridezilla and she can now finally sleep easy!
