This term, Year 6 have been taking part in a languages project called ‘ Wo ist Abi?’ where we had to locate cities in Germany where Mrs Dodd’s friend was staying and help her learn the German she needed to get around! The culmination of the project was a visit from Abi and putting together our own German lebkuchen stall for the Winter Wonderland. It was great fun making and decorating our gingerbreads and trying out our German on our rather surprised, but willing, customers! We even got to hone a few of our maths skills working out all the change. Sehr gut!
After Christmas, Abi is moving on to a new country in Europe so watch out for our next languages instalment!
