Year 5 have been lucky enough to have lots of amazing, inspirational visitors in to share their real life experiences with them relating to our topic of space.

First, Mr Nimmo came in to tell us of his job and also wow us with some amazing facts about space and the future of Space travel.  I think a number of the children were inspired to take to the skies!

Mr Brown also brought in Copper, to bring our debating to life.  We asked the question ‘Is it right to send animals to space?’ When looking into the eyes of Copper, this was a challenging one for them all!

Mr Brown ‘Senior’ then came and shared his wealth of knowledge about the sky, planets and lots more beyond.  He brought in his incredible telescopes, old and new, for us to look into and have a peak through the clouds.

We are very lucky to have such great volunteers to help our learning really come to life!
