Last week Year 4 thoroughly enjoyed taking part in Science Week.  We investigated fizzy drinks, created our own teeth, exploded Cola bottles, mummified oranges and even reenacted the digestive system!

The real highlight, however, was when we were invited to Harewood College for a secondary school Science day experience.  We were treated to two different lessons; one which focused on our diet and the other on the role of the small intestine and how and why we go to the toilet – gross!

The lessons were so much fun and very messy, we couldn’t get enough of it!  It was also a brilliant learning opportunity, not only in terms of how our body works but also how amazing Science is in secondary schools.  We thoroughly enjoyed getting dressed up in goggles and lab coats and having a tour of the school and the children represented the school fantastically.

Year 4 love Science!
