What a fantastic project outcome we had last week! In the morning the children loved making guacamole, salsa and cinnamon oranges for their Mexican feast. Initially, lots of the children weren’t keen on trying the guacamole but once they saw some of their friends enjoying it many of them changed their mind and even asked for seconds!
The children made their own maracas and Mexican flags, which they proudly presented at the Flag Raising ceremony in the playground. There was also an opportunity to learn the Mexican Hat Dance and no Mexican day would be complete without a big swing at the pinata! What a fantastic project! We’d also like to take the opportunity to say thank you for all the wonderful home learning that the children have brought in over this half term.
