Year 1 had a fantastic trip to Marwell Zoo on the 2nd May. Luckily we were blessed with the weather and were able to see a number of the different animals that they have there.

We also enjoyed a fantastic talk from the Education Team where we discussed the different habitats of animals and how they adapt to live in these areas. When we arrived in the classroom the leader had a number of artefacts laid out on the floor and she made us aware that these were real artefacts and were currently on loan to the zoo from UK Border Control and Customs and Excise who have confiscated these when people have attempted to smuggle them into the country.

The children will be bringing home a voucher to entitle you to visit the zoo again and then maybe the children can be your very own tour guides, filled with a mountain of facts!
