Last week, we were blown away by some truly superb invention/inventor costumes that graced Year 4. We had everything; lightbulbs, cars, wheels, rubix cubes, social media, biros and eve a toilet! This set us up perfectly for a day jam packed full of learning to introduce us to our new project, ‘Reinventing the Wheel’.
The day included a timeline problem solving activity that introduced us to inventions that had changed the world and an introduction to our task this half term to create a new invention in groups. A real hightlight, however, was our visit from James Isaac, who introduced us to inventions that his company Siemens had created. We were also given the opportunity to do some quite incredible things with the iPads, which included brining pictures on a piece of paper to life!
What a fantastic start to what we are confident will be a fantastic project. We looking forward to hosting you all on Wednesday 22nd May at 9.30 for our Invention Convention where you will be given the opportunity to view our finished projects!
