Year 3 were fortunate enough to be given beautiful weather for their beach trip. The sun was shining and therefore we were able to enjoy all that the beach has to offer.

Whilst at the beach, the children had the opportunity to explore what gets washed up on the sand. Although they found some natural treasures such as stones, shells, seaweed and crabs legs, the children were disappointed to find plastic littering the shore line. We did our bit and helped clean up whilst we were there.

Throughout the morning, Year 3 got creative, building sand sculptures in small groups. Some children used the sand to build the sculpture, others used stones and shells to create their shapes. We were also fortunate enough to have some calm waves and the children were able to paddle up to their ankles. They were delighted to have the opportunity to do this with their friends and was such fun!
