Year 6 have been working away at honing our election campaigns recently and we have been delighted to welcome ‘A’ level politics students from Bournemouth School to offer advice and support and teach us a little more about the working of political campaigns.

The students were shared between the four parties and have been brilliant at encouraging our interest in politics and helping us to create effective policies and manifestos. They invested time and energy into introducing us to British politics and working with the parties .

The fact that they seem to now know the policies for each party almost as well as we do is testament to their commitment.

Thank you to Mr Beal and all of the students for their patience and enthusiasm – the youth of today is all too easily criticised but watching these young gentlemen and our fantastic Year 6 together, there is much hope to be had. Who knew that working together and collaborating sensibly in politics could be so easy?!
