Here comes another St. James’ success story but this time of the musical kind!
Last week the senior school choir took part in the Bournemouth Music Festival at The Pavilion theatre, entering two classes in cultural music and contemporary music We sang a variety of songs from the poignant ‘Steal Away’ through the uplifting ‘Glorious’ to a very meaningful rendition of ‘ Thursday’ by Jess Glynne.
Luckily the adjudicator was very impressed with both our choice of music and our fantastic dynamics and we won both our classes. This meant that we were contenders for the KS2 ‘ Choir of the Year’ trophy and, much to our delight , we won that as well!
It was a fantastic morning all round and a real treat to perform on a massive stage AND listen to some other talented choirs as well. You just can’t beat some quality music and a bit of a sing on a Friday morning – well done to everyone involved !
