We’re off for 2019-20! With an award!

Well it’s almost like we never left…! The children have fallen into stride brilliantly and are spending the next three days learning routines, discussing choices, establishing protocols and getting used to their new environments, expectations and responsibilities.

At this time we also cast a thought out towards our recent leavers and the beginnings of their new chapters in their respective secondary schools – we hope they go in with the confidence of knowing that they will always be a part of the St. James’ family.

We are really looking forward to welcoming our new reception intake from next Wednesday – the walls of St. James’ are bouncing again!

Let’s begin the year with some more lovely news… just before the summer break we were awarded the ‘Good Diabetes Care in School’ award from Diabetes UK.   A small number of children in our care are living with Diabetes and we are proud that this national organisation has recognised the care and attention of our team of staff for the support they provide.  Thank you Diabetes UK – the shiny trophy is in the school trophy cabinet.  Now, on with the academic year!
