Year 6 have been working hard at our Spanish this term and we thought it was about time we had a bit of a celebration ! ‘ Dia de los Muertos ‘ is a famous Spanish Festival when those who have died are ‘welcomed back’ to celebrate happy memories with their families. It was the focus of the funny and poignant Pixar film, ‘Coco.’

Sam went above and beyond this week and not only prepared an interesting and informative PowerPoint and video for us but also prepared some traditional Spanish foods for us to taste.

We tried Pan de Muerto which is a flavoured bread alongside Jamoncillo de Leche, a type of milk fudge. It was a pretty even split between the two for our favourite dish but we had a great time tasting and learning more about the festival.
