… no, not THAT production!

Yes, indeed we are right in the midst of Christmas productions season and Rome team are still fresh from doing their own Class Worship, but this post isn’t talking about that! Instead, Year 4 have been capitalising on all this production practise by writing and performing our very own play scripts.

Throughout this half term, our project has been Discovering the Old Testament where we have learnt about heroes of the Old Testament (such as Moses and Joseph). Our stimulus for this week’s learning has been the passage about David and Goliath.

Initially, we analysed the features of a script by looking at our actual Nativity ‘Inn-Spectors’ script which was a great way to focus on the use of stage and setting directions, along with the use of expression when acting a part. We then wrote our own scripts about the story of David and Goliath before performing them to the rest of the class.

It has proved to be a great passage of learning which everyone has enjoyed in equal measure. Now for the big one on Thursday…!
