Wish you were here!

Well folks, it’s been a long time coming but, we finally have the results of the fantastic postcard competition that we held over the summer holidays!

We received well over 50 postcards from a whole range of destinations from the exotic to the very familiar. Rhodes, Berlin, Florida,Tenerife, Corfe Castle, Windsor, Bournemouth, Swanage and so many more -what a well travelled lot we are!

Reading of adventures with crabs, climbing castles, eating new food, swimming in pools, lazing on beaches and generally having fun with family and friends far and near has kept us laughing and smiling since the holidays. And the tale of one pesky seagull was hilarious.

It was incredibly hard to choose winners but here goes…

Dylan, Year 4 for a great anecdote about camouflage…

Leah , Year 2 , for stories of crab fishing with your dad…

David, Year 6, for an amusing story of a donkey and a tent…

Scarlett, Year 4, for your 7, yes 7 postcards from all around Europe…

And Finn, Year 4, for making us laugh with your pesky seagulls!!

All the winners will be receiving a travel journal to encourage those fantastic writing habits.  In the New Year, we will also be creating a display around a world map so that we can see all of the fantastic places that people in our community visited, and use your postcards to learn a little more about them!

Well done and thank you to everyone for writing in… can’t wait for next year’s adventures 🙂
