This week Year 4 were extremely privileged to be invited to the Bournemouth Reform Synagogue. This amazing opportunity gave us the chance to cap off our ‘Discovering the Old Testament’ project in style and presented a real context to all of our learning throughout the last few weeks.

It was a real treat to be there and our visit was hosted by the Rabbi himself. We were fascinated to see the features of a Synagogue we had learnt about in RE and discussed many of the Old Testament stories, such as Moses and Joseph. It was also a nice chance to learn about the Jewish Festival of Hanukkah which starts on Sunday. The boys even wore kippah hats!

The children were an absolute credit to the school and had many good questions answered. Thank you again to the Bournemouth Reform Synagogue, it was wonderful to be there.
