We’ve come to the end of another term and another project… and what a project it has been! Year 2 had an amazing time being inspired by Roald Dahl, and in particular his two books The Twits and Charlie in the Chocolate Factory. This term we have:

  • made crispy cakes filled with worms (strawberry laces)
  • cooked a wormy spaghetti surprise (spaghetti with tomato sauce, cheese and ham worms)
  • investigated Fair trade
  • found out where chocolate comes from and how it’s made
  • experimented with sweets
  • been chocolate tasters
  • designed and made our own confectionery
  • created adverts for our creations

And that’s just the highlights!

Children also created absolutely breath-taking project homework that they got to show off with all their other fantastic work at the project outcome.

Thank you so much for coming to share the experiences that the children have had this term, they were positively buzzing with excitement (and sugar) to see you all and show off all their hard work!
