In Year 6 this week, we have been looking at micro-organisms!
Learning all about Carl Linnaeus, who he was and that he developed the scheme of binomial nomenclature – clever stuff!
We explored the classification of Carl Linnaeus, learning that we can call something by its genus and then species (in that order!).
Can you guess the common name for these micro-organisms?
We were then tasked to create our own plant and create it’s name using the proper classification terms!
