This term, Year 6 have entered their new topic of WW2 and we have been spending time reflecting on the poetry written in and about this war. We have been looking at imagery and the use of specific vocabulary and figurative language to really draw on the emotions people might have felt at the time.

We have also focused on the art work of silhouettes. We enjoyed discussing the impact of using just the silhouette of a soldier or a child and the deeper meaning it can have.
