Being an explore doesn’t just mean that you always have to stay local. We decided to explore further afield to our project islands, The Galapagos. 21st century explorers definitely have an advantage so we decided to see if we could find the Galapagos using a range of different resources.

In a carousel activity, we had to find the Galapagos on a globe and draw what we could see. We also had a look at what The Galapagos is close to.

We then used Google Maps to find The Galapagos, we also used this software to find out how long it would take to get there and what method of transport we would need to take!

We also were given questions to answer where we had to use our researching skills to find answers to the questions including – where is the Charles Darwin research station?

What a fantastic afternoon and a big well done to everyone for moving around the carousel calmly and sensibly and using all of our resources responsibly.
