As part of this term’s Geography and Science, Year 3 have been looking at the 3 different types of rocks; sedimentary, igneous and metamorphic and how these rocks are formed. Luckily for us, it just so happens that we live in a wonderful part of the world and a visit to Lulworth Cove linked in beautifully with what we have been learning. At Lulworth Cove we were guided by 2 of their rangers who taught us all about the rock formation at Lulworth Cove and along the Jurassic Coastline before being able to do some fossil foraging on the beach. Despite it being a rather warm day we had a fantastic time!
