On Thursday 18th June, some of our Year 4, 5 and 6 children took part in our local Town Sports, where over 30 schools competed! The children took part in competing in a variety of different athletic sports.

The Year 5 boys came 4th overall in the Relay Final and the Year 6 girls came 5th overall in the Relay Final too.

We had some fantastic results from the individual children which we wanted to highlight:

Yr 4 Ava came 4^th overall in 60m sprint

Yr 4 Eric came 1^st overall in 60m sprint

Yr 5 Lennox came 3^rd overall in 75m sprint

Yr 6 Kaya came 2^nd overall in 75m sprint

Yr 5 Sofia came 6^th overall in 150m sprint

Yr 6 Harriet came 6^th overall in 150m sprint

Yr 5 George came 3^rd overall in 600m

Yr 6 Marika came 4^th overall in 600m

Eric came 1^st overall in the 60m boys sprint

Not only did the children do brilliantly in the track events, they also did amazingly in the field events too:

Year 4 Myla came 5^th overall Long Jump 

Year 4 Hiroto came 2^nd overall Long Jump

Year  5 Isla came 8^th overall in Rounders Ball Throw 

Year 6 Masato came 8^th overall in Long Jump 

All the children who attended showed real sportsmanship and encouraged each other on, even when times were hard! Well done Team St James, we are all so proud of you!
