Wonderful Writing in Year 2!
We are so proud that we have so many children at St James' that love to write! We have created this blog to showcase some of the incredible pieces of work that our children have created.
Last term, Year 2 engaged with their 'Superheroes' topic where they focused on the text 'Supertato' by Paul Linnet and Sue Hendra.
The children absolutely loved reading this book and enjoyed following the mischief of the Evil Pea!
Following our Talk For Writing approach, the children spent time learning the model text and came up with some actions to help them remember. Here is a little snippet of a few of our Year 2's giving a brilliant performance of what they had learnt.
As part of their independence stage, the children created their own narratives inspired by Supertato. We were so proud of what the children came up with and were impressed by the brilliant characters and storylines they were able to think of. Read on to see some of their fantastic creations.
