Year 1 trip to the New Forest Wildlife Park

We had so much fun on our school trip to see the animals at the New Forest Wildlife Park!
Our Year 1 children had a wonderful, sunny day on their recent trip to the New Forest Wildlife Park. They were excited to see a wide range of animals, including playful ferrets, tiny harvest mice, a curious fox, busy bees in their beehive, graceful deer, a magnificent lynx and many, many different types of owl. One of the highlights of the day was a special talk from the keeper all about otters. The children were fascinated to learn that there are 14 different types of otter and that they can be very loud when they are waiting to be fed their fish!
After a much-needed lunch break, in the afternoon, the children enjoyed time in the fantastic park, where laughter filled the air as they played happily together and made the most of the exciting space.
We all had an amazing day and it was a great, hands-on learning experience and the children returned to school full of enthusiasm and new knowledge about wildlife.
