Fantastic Adventure Island Writing!
In our first writing unit in Year 2, we have been focusing on descriptive writing using Adventure Island as our inspiration.
The children learnt our model text so well, that they know it off by heart! See the video below to listen along:
We have really been focusing on making our writing engaging and exciting by adding in adjectives which all the children have mastered! We have also began looking at conjunctions to extend our sentences further and level up our writing. After this, the children each designed their own Adventure Island and thought carefully about what would be on their island, as well as considering what they would see, hear, smell and feel using the senses to help create adjectives.
