Year 2

Week Beginning 6th October 2025

The children have continued to enjoy our Scouting Around project and have incorporated Forest School within this. Marshmallows and biscuits seem to be the favourite activity during Forest School!

Key Information:

Our PE days this year are on Thursdays.

We have Forest School this term. Please can children come in their PE kits on Tuesday (Amazon) and Wednesday (Nile).

Next week's learning 

Maths - We will be looking at number bonds to 10 and adding/subtracting 1 from a number

English - We will be publishing our descriptive writing and completing and independent write

Phonics - We will be learning gn’ saying /n/ 

Science - We will be learning about why exercise is good for the human body and how it can help us live longer

RE - We will be learning how Christians describe God and his creations

PSHE - We will be learning about how to positively resolve arguments

History - To know that Brownsea Island is an island in Poole Harbour

Art- We will be mixing primary colours to make secondary colours- We will be studying the artist Andre Derain.
